Disney | 2018 WDW Trip Plan

Hi blog friends!!

8 days to go, and my second Disney post leading up to the 26th! Today's post might be a long one as I am going to share our trip plan/itinerary! I'm not going to go into HUGE amounts of detail, just what we will be up to each day, where we are eating and what fast passes we have! So without further ado...

Thursday 26th April

This is simply our travelling day, we fly from Birmingham in the morning and land in Orlando around 3pm. We are flying into Sanford Airport, which is something I've never done, so I was quite anxious about this when we booked the holiday. However, I have read lots of good things about how quick and easy it is to get through immigration etc. so I feel better now!
We could go to the parks, but we decided we're going to chill out, head to Walmart to get some essentials and grab some food in the hotel.
We are staying on Disney property which means we get Magic Bands (I have gone for yellow and Elliot's is blue, yes just like Beauty and the Beast, yes we did this on purpose!). I have a feeling we will be so tired and jet lagged we will just want to get into bed, ready for the next day!

Friday 27th April

Parks: Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom

Fastpasses: Peter Pan's Flight, Big Thunder Mountain & 7 Dwarfs Mine Train

Restaurants: Kona Cafe & Boma

We obviously HAVE to start the holiday at Magic Kingdom, I mean come on!!!
We are starting off the day by having breakfast at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort (GIMME THAT TONGA TOAST).
We will then be heading into MK where our first fastpass is Peter Pan's Flight. We're not too fussed about trying to cram in loads of rides as we still have 2 weeks, so will use our fast passes, take everything in and hopefully get loads of photos.
In the afternoon we will head over to Animal Kingdom, where we will be getting a QS lunch (probably Yak & Yeti), try and get on Everest or one of the Avatar rides, again we aren't fussed as this day will be a day just to take everything in!
In the evening we have a dining reservation at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have wanted to try Boma for soooo long, so I thought why not do it the first night! I am very excited for Zebra Domes!
We will head back to AK to catch Rivers of Light (although not too worried if we don't make it as will we be able to see Avatar Land at night instead) and then we will head back to the hotel.

Saturday 28th April

Parks: Typhoon Lagoon & EPCOT

Fastpasses: Soarin'

Restaurants: Yachtsman Steak House

As it's a Saturday I didn't really want to go to one of the 4 main parks, so we chose Typhoon Lagoon for the morning/afternoon. Once we are done at TL we will head back to the hotel, change into something fancy and head over to EPCOT.
We have a fastpass booked for Soarin' just before we head over to the Yacht Club Resort, as we are having dinner at the Yachtsman Steak House (hence the fancy attire), and yes this is purely because of Charlotte Ruff!

Sunday 29th April

Parks: EPCOT

Fastpasses: Frozen Ever After, Mission Space & Spaceship Earth

Restaurants: Teppan Edo

Today is the first day where we spend the whole day at 1 park. The last  time I went to WDW was in 2009 and I remember it being on my favourite parks, because it was so diverse and there was so much to see. So that is why I wanted to spend the whole day here so early into the holiday. We have an early fastpass for Frozen, then the other 2 are spread out during the day. I have a feeling we may not need the Spaceship Earth one, but I booked it anyway! We are then trying out Teppan Edo, as I have heard great things and I looooove Japanese food. After that we will be staying for Illuminations.

Monday 30th April

Parks: Universal Studios

Restaurants: Bubba Gump Shrimp (Not Booked)

Our first day away from the Disney parks will be at Universal Studios, and although we will be going back to go to Islands of Adventure I'm sure we will wander over or get the train! I've heard that they are doing soft openings for the new Fast & Furious ride, so hopefully we will get on that. Universal holds a lot of special memories for me so I am very excited to go back.
We will be going for dinner at my favourite restaurant, probably in the whole world, Bubba Gump Shrimp! I love the theming and the atmosphere and boy do I love that Coconut Shrimp!!

Tuesday 1st May

Parks: Busch Gardens

As you can tell, we really are trying to fit EVERYTHING in that Florida has to offer. When we bought our Florida Flexi Ticket from (check them out), it came with free transportation to Busch Gardens, so we threw caution to the wind and just decided to make the trip!! I have been to BG once and absolutely LOVED the rollercoasters, so I'm very happy to be going back.

Wednesday 2nd May

Parks: Hollywood Studios

Fastpasses: Tower of Terror, Indiana Jones Stunt Show & Fantasmic

This is the only day we will be spending at Hollywood Studios, so we are going to try and make the most of it. Now this may seem strange as actually a lot of my favourite rides are in Hollywood Studios, but because a lot of it is under construction we're worried there won't be AS much to do as the other parks. However, if we get there and decide we want to go back we have said we will go on one of our relaxing days.
We don't have any restaurants booked for this day, so will just use our QS credits. We will also be staying for Fantasmic, which we have fastpasses for as it is my favourite nighttime spectacular, so want to get really good seats!

Thursday 3rd May

Parks: Volcano Bay & Animal Kingdom

Fastpasses: Expedition Everest, Dinosaur & Flight of Passage

Restaurants: Satul'i Canteen

In the morning we will be heading to Volcano Bay, which both of us are super excited about as it looks incredible! Hopefully we will be able to get on a few rides before heading back to the hotel, change, and head on over to Animal Kingdom for the evening. We have fastpasses for Everest (THE best ride on property IMO), Dinosaur (scariest ride on property!) and then I managed to get us a Flight of Passage fastpass which we CANNOT wait for, I have heard such great things about it! We have decided on having dinner at Satul'i Canteen after our FoP fastpass. Then, if we missed Rivers of Light on the first night we will head over and watch that.

Friday 4th May

Parks: Magic Kingdom

Fastpasses: Splash Mountain, Meet Tinkerbell & Space Mountain

Restaurants: Roaring Fork & Be Our Guest

May the fourth be with you! It's Star Wars Day and we are heading to Magic Kingdom. This is the day that I simply cannot wait for. We are spending the whole day in MK; taking photos, going on rides, meeting characters, seeing the parade, crying along with the fireworks and I will be Disneybounding as Tink! Sounds perfect to me.

Saturday 5th May

Parks: Shopping Day

Restaurants: Cheesecake Factory & The Boathouse

Cinco de Mayo! For this exact reason we are staying clear of the parks on this day. We are having a biiiiiiiiiig shopping day; Outlets, Mall and Disney Springs kinda big!
We also have a reservation for The Boathouse in the evening, where we are gonna stuff ourselves with amazing sea food, and I can't wait!!! Afterwards (or maybe before) I would really love to go for a drink at Jock Lindsey's Hanger Bar.

Sunday 6th May

Parks: Islands of Adventure

Our second day at Universal will be spent mostly in Islands of Adventure. This park is my favourite out of the 2 as it has the all the best rides; The Hulk, Forbidden Journey, Jurassic Park, Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls...I could go on.

Monday 7th May

Parks: Sea World & Magic Kingdom

Fastpasses: Pirates of the Caribbean & Jungle Cruise

Restaurants: Ohana

In the morning we are heading to Sea World, and I know this park is super controversial and we will NOT be seeing any shows, as I do not agree with them at all. I have seen them in the past and not enjoyed them (well I did enjoy the dolphin show but I was young). We are only going to Sea world for the rides as in my opinion they have some of the best rides in Florida there.
Afterwards we will be heading to MK to do a couple of fastpasses, before making our way to Ohana at the Polynesian Resort.

Tuesday 8th May

Parks: Blizzard Beach & EPCOT

Fastpasses: Test Track

Restaurants: Beaches and Cream & Via Napoli

Since we will only have a few days left, we decided to put in another chilled morning, so we will be heading to Blizzard Beach for some sun bathing and lazy river relaxing! Afterwards we have lunch booked at Beaches & Cream, where we will be indulging in ice cream sundaes.
After this we're going to head back to the hotel to change and head over to EPCOT. We have 1 fastpass, Test Track, which has changed since I last went to Disney so I'm excited to ride this. For dinner we have Via Napoli booked, we are both very excited for this one as we are both BIG pizza lovers!

Wednesday 9th May

Parks: Animal Kingdom

Fastpasses: Nav'i River Journey, Kali River Rapids & Expedition Everest

Restaurants: Tusker House & California Grill

The penultimate day, sad emoji! Since AK has morning magic hours, we are going to take full advantage of them. We want to do the Safari as early as we can before heading over to Tusker House for a breakfast buffet, I can't wait to meet the gang in their safari outfits!!
Since it is our last night, we wanted to go somewhere a little more fancy, where we can dress nice and enjoy amazing food. So we chose California Grill, we are also planning to watch Happily Ever After from our table fingers crossed!

Thursday 10th May

Parks: Magic Kingdom & Home

Fastpasses: 7 Dwarfs Mine Train & Haunted Mansion

Restaurants: Be Our Guest

The last day, crying emoji! Since we have to be back at the hotel ready to go back to the airport, fairly early in the afternoon we are just spending the morning at MK (I mean come on you can't NOT have your last day at MK!). We have decided to have breakfast at Be Our Guest as we want to get into the park as soon as possible. We then have 2 fastpasses, although I'm not sure we will make the Haunted Mansion one, but that's okay as I know we will have been on it already! Then it's time to say goodbye.

So that's it! Our trip plan/itinerary. There's A LOT to do this holiday and I feel like we are going to need about a month to recover, but it will be so worth it I just can't wait!
Hope you enjoyed, sorry this post was so incredibly long but I didn't want to miss anything haha!

Lots of love
Katy xxx
