Disney | Disney Wish List #6 Etsy Edition

Hi blog friends!!

I can't believe I'm already on number 6 of my Disney wish lists, I absolutely LOVE writing up these posts because 1. I get to browse Disney things and 2. I love showing the things I'm loving.
For this wish list, I thought I would just focus on the items from Etsy I am totally wanting right now. Plus I love sharing and supporting little businesses especially on Etsy because everyone is so talented, so it's fun to tell everyone about them, some of these you may know as they person behind them is a Youtuber or someone in the DLP community, so lets get into it (prepare for lots of links)!

1. Beauty & the Beast Rose inspired phone case (£9.99)

A few months ago I was searching for a phone case that covered my screen, because after smashing my phone screen I became so worried that I'd do it again. I was searching Etsy and came across this seller (OVESS) and I couldn't chose between the one I eventually bought or this BatB one. In the end I bought myself the Marie, Berlioz and Toulouse one (here). It is amazing quality and SO cute. Great price and came very quickly, so I think I might be putting another order in soon.

2. Maple & Whisky Reed Diffuser (£9.75)

I have loved Maple & Whisky for a very long time now, and have 3 candles and some wax melts, and I can honestly say that they are some of the best candles I have ever purchased. When I found out they are now doing reed diffusers I got so excited! I constantly have reed diffusers in my bedroom because they just make a room smell amazing. The scents I would love are Arendelle and Beach Club.

3. Set of 3 Star Wars Prints (£11.50+ depending on size)

I love Disney prints, well prints in general and these prints really stood out to me! I love that they are places from the original films. The seller is Harknett Prints and they do loads of different prints including Harry Potter and Disney.

4. Marie Minnie Mouse Ears (£19.18)

These ears come from the shop MousekaEarsBowtique, which is run by the lovely Brittany from the Youtube channel Disney At Heart. I saw these in one of their videos and just fell in love! If you didn't already know, Marie is my favourite Disney character so I am seriously in love with these ears! Check out her Etsy for super cute ears and bows!

5. Belle Watercolour Print (£7.70+ depending on size)

If you read my Tinker Belle inspired wish list, you'll know that a print from this seller was on that (but of Tink obviously haha). I absolutely adore this style of print, it is so different and beautiful. Of course, Belle would be my first pick as she is my all time favourite princess, plus the colours on this print are simply stunning! You can find these prints from the seller Genefy Prints, who does a wide range from Disney to Harry Potter to landscapes.

6. BB8 Bow (£6.39), Marie Bow (£5.68) & Chewie Bow (£4.97)

These beautiful bows come from the seller Extra Sweet Bowtique. There are probably 100 bows I would love from this Etsy shop, they are made so beautifully and all the characters are so recognisable. I would love some of these bows for when I go to WDW next year, as I am planning on Disney Bounding so these would be perfect! Here are the individual links for all three: BB8, Marie & Chewie.

7. Frontierland & Fantasyland Tube Station Postcards (£0.95)

These clever prints come from itslizi, who I know from the DLP community on Twitter and she is incredibly lovely and so easy to talk to (check out her Twitter here). I think these prints are absolutely fantastic and such a great idea! They would look fab in blog posts, instagrams and in little frames. The two I chose are Frontierland and Fantasyland as they are my two FAVOURITE lands at DLP and WDW, especially Frontierland!

8. Disney & Donuts T-Shirt (£27.71)

Lastly is this super accurate t-shirt! I'm sure Bob can confirm that I talk about Disney and donuts on a regular basis so this t-shirt is literally perfect for me! This comes from the seller Glitter Ever After, who do lots of Disney inspired clothing items that are all super cute!

Etsy is a goldmine for Disney related items, and you can find some absolute gems! I also like to support sellers as I said, especially if I know them or have spoken to them on Twitter etc.

What Disney items are on your wish list, Etsy or not?!

Lots of love

Skin Care | Favourite Moisturisers

Hi blog friends!!

As you may know, I am a skin care addict which means I try a lot of different moisturisers because I like to see what works for my skin, and because well I love buying and trying skin care haha!
Moisturiser for me needs to be chosen very carefully, I have combination skin which is very sensitive and can get quite dry (wow thanks skin for being all the things!). These four moisturisers have worked on my skin incredibly well and I chop and change between all four when my skin needs something different, so here we go!

All Time Favourite Moisturiser:

My number one all time favourite moisturiser goes to...Kiehls Skin Rescuer! This bad boy is my secret weapon to healthy, glowing, even skin! I got this on a whim whilst I was browsing the Kiehls website (by browsing I obviously mean purchasing). I claimed to do all the thing I wanted it too such as reducing redness, stress and signs of fatigue (the last 2 things synonymous with writing a dissertation). From the first application I could tell this moisturiser was the one! It has a light scent, kind of avocado-y, the formula is light and sinks into the skin so effortlessly. All in all this is my holy grail moisturiser and 5/5 from me!

Favourite Mattifying Moisturiser:

My favourite moisturiser for keeping me matte all day long, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat. This moisturiser is great for us combination skin girls because it regulates the amount of sebum the skin produces, therefore keeps you looking matte all day long. This can be used under make up as a primer or just as a normal moisturiser. The smell is very subtle but nice and the formula feels lovely on the skin, not heavy at all and sinks in very quickly!

Favourite Hydrating Moisturiser:

My favourite moisturiser for giving hydration all day is the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. First off I adore the packaging for this product, its so cute! But anyway, this moisturiser is so luxurious and thick and you can really feel it working on your skin. It has manuka honey in it which makes it super great for those of you with acne, as manuka honey helps to keep skin clear and feeling fresh because it has anti-bacterial properties! The smell is to be desired, I don't mind it as it smells like the Antipodes Aurora face mask! Overall this moisturiser keeps my skin feeling plump, fresh and hydrated all day, also when I use this under my make up, it seems to stay on longer!

Favourite Smelling/Glow Giving Moisturiser:

Finally is The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser. This one is great for those tired days, when your skin is feeling a little under the weather and needs a little pick me up. The formula is very gel like and is incredibly refreshing on the skin as it is quite cold. It gives you an instant glow that I have never had from any other moisturiser! This one definitely has my favourite scent, it is very fresh and invigorating, perfect for using in the morning to get that skin glowing!

So there you have it, my favourite moisturisers for my skin type! What is your favourite moisturiser?!

Beauty | Top 5 Spring Lipsticks

Hi blog friends!!

Lipsticks are a staple in every girls or boys make up bags, and since the season has changed into one of faves, Spring I thought I would share my top 5 Spring lippies that I reach for without fail! So lets just jump right into it (wow I watch too much Phillip De Franco).

1. YSL Rouge Volupté - 8 (£26)

First up is my number 1 most reached for lipstick, YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in number 8 ( which I believe does have a name but I can't remember it). This is most luxurious lipstick I have ever bought, and I know the price can put people off but my gosh you get what you pay for! The colour is a beautiful mauvey pink which goes with literally every make up look! The formula is obviously quite sheer but can most definitely be built up to create a beautiful colour. The best part of this product though, it smells like watermelon, yes watermelon! Such a beautiful spring colour and lasts all day!

2. Rimmel Kate Nude Collection - 45 (£5.49)

Next is one from the Rimmel Kate Nude collection, which is my favourite collection from Rimmel, I have quite a few shades but this one is definitely my favourite. This is a browny nude/pink and perfect for day time wear. The wear on this isn't as good as some of my higher end lipsticks and needs to be re-applied at least twice during the day, but honestly the colour and the smell make up for that!

3. L'Oreal Colour Riche - 632 (£6.99)

This is my most used drugstore lipstick for sure. I bought this without even really looking at the colour, I just needed a nudey pink colour and this fit the bill, but when I got it home and tried it out I instantly fell in love! It has amazing wear and is very glossy on the lips, I love pairing this with the YSL to give a beautiful, very glossy pink lip.

4. MAC - Please Me (15.50)

My perfect pink. It is a rosy pink with a matte finish and oh my gosh I just can't stop reaching for this lipstick. This and Speed Dial are two of my favourite MAC pinks. The wear is incredible and looks so pretty with any make up look, very girly and very pretty!

5. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour - Devotion (£6.99)

Okay so this products name is a mouthful (no pun intended), but this is one of my new favourites. It is a liquid lipstick that dried matte (obviously) and smells like whipped vanilla which is seriously yummy. This feels very comfortable on the lips and I only experienced the tiniest bit of flaking, but after I had had it on all day long, which for a drugstore liquid lipstick is pretty impressive. It is a deep pink colour and looks fabulous paired with a smokey eye.

Swatches:

So those are my favourite spring/pinky lipsticks that I have been reaching for, for the past few months! What is your favourite spring lipstick?!

Lots of love

Lifestyle | Once Upon A Time Funko Pops

Hi blog friends!!

Todays post is just a short one but I couldn't not post about these little cuties! I posted a while ago about my Funko's (which you can read here) and since then my collection has grown quite a bit, so if you would like to see a complete updated version comment down below!
When it comes to buying them, I have a strict rule of only buying ones from films/TV shows I really love or specific characters I love.
Once is one of my favourite TV shows because it encompasses Disney and fairytales and magic etc which are all my favourite things!

These Funkos are probably my favourite collection (bar the BATB collection which I need to finish) and Regina is my all time favourite Pop that I own. The detail on them is amazing, especially Rumple he is so glittery and just look at those teeth! Also the dagger is super detailed as well. I think it's absolutely crazy how much they look like the actual characters!
The characters I have are Prince Charming, Snow White, Regina/Evil Queen, Rumple and Emma Swan. I am still on the hunt for Captain Hook so if anyone can hook me up (no pun intended) that'd be great, and then I would have finished my collection.
I'm really hoping they come out with some more characters like Henry, Belle, Mr. Gold and Robin Hood that would be perfect!

Do you have any Funkos?! Who is your favourite OUAT character?!

Lots of love

Skin Care | Quick Night Time Skin Care Routine

Hi blog friends!!

I love skin care, I probably have more skin care items than make up, I think I might be addicted to it haha! But some days I really cannot be bothered with properly cleansing and doing my whole routine, because I just want to get into bed, eat chocolate and watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (side note BEST. SHOW. EVER.), and that means having to be a little bit lazy when it comes to skin care. Oh and when I say quick, I mean QUICK!!

The first product I use in my quick skin care routine is my favourite Micellar water, Garnier Micellar Cleansing water for combination skin. This is my go to cleansing water for realz! It does the job perfectly and my skin feels so refreshed and clean after using it.
I just take a cotton pad (or more depending on if I was wearing make up during the day etc), splash the cleansing water on it, wipe it on and voila, done!

Next is a product I have been wanting to try for SO long now, and I finally got my hands on it. It is the Pixi Glow Tonic, now yes I know I'm very late to the party but this product has saved my skin, I swear! I LOVE the smell and they way it makes my skin feel after using it, I don't think I will ever use another toner again (sorry Body Shop Seaweed Toner).

Now, because this is quick I do tend to miss out my serum because I usually can't be bothered to pat it into my skin and wait for it to dry etc, so I just move straight onto moisturiser. I will sometimes use my Soap & Glory Speed Plump Overnight Moisture Mousse but recently I have only been reaching for my Kiehls Skin Rescuer. It is so light and smells really lovely, I feel like this moisturiser has really evened out my skin and does help to get rid of redness, especially around my nose and on the apples of my cheeks.

Lastly I just pop on my Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment and bam I am done with my skincare! It really is that simple and it takes me about 5-10 minutes rather than like half an hour!

If you would like to see my full night time skin care routine just comment down below! I love all these products, so quick and convenient for when you really just want to jump in bed and relax!
What are your favourite skin care items?!

Life | My Blogging Experience & 100th Post!

Hi blog friends!!

Wow, seriously long time no speak! I'm blaming my dissertation for this one BUT I finally hit 10,000 words so I'm giving myself a little break from work (little break meaning the weekend) to slowly get back into the swing of blogging again. ALSO HOW IS IT MAY ALREADY?!

I feel like I haven't done a chatty/rambly post in so long and sometimes it's really therapeutic to just sit down (or lay in bed which I'm totally not doing now or anything) and talk to you guys.

First off this is my 100th blog post and it will be my blogs 1st birthday in a couple of days which is honestly mental I can't believe I've been doing this for a whole year! So I though I would share my blogging experience and how I have found it so far and my thoughts on it all, this post might be pretty long so if it is, you've been warned!

I started my blog on 8th May 2015, literally out the blue I just said to myself one day I'm going to start a blog as an online diary and so I just did it. I didn't even think anything of it to be honest, just somewhere I could write down my feelings and what I did that day etc, but it rapidly turned into something completely different, I started writing more about beauty and lifestyle and of course my favourite subject Disney and that has just stuck!

Now, I am a tiny tiny tiny blogger in the bloggersphere, I have seen people grow their blogs immensely in a year but I never expected to even get 1 follower, let alone 407! It blows me away that 407 out there want to read what I have to say, I think that it is something I will never comprehend and I'm so grateful.

My experience as a blogger hasn't been what everyone assumes blogging is like, I've never been to a blogger event, I've been sent a few items but nothing on the scale of other bloggers, I've never met any bloggers, I've never worked with a brand etc.
But to me, it doesn't matter I write because I love to write I never started KDL with the sole purpose of wanting free things or going to glitzy events (if I'm honest I didn't even know that was a part of blogging). I think people have a very small minded view of what blogging is, people seem to think it's just an opportunity to get free stuff, well it isn't because you have to work damn hard to see rewards like that!

The one thing I would say is the hardest about blogging (for me personally, I know some people are great at this) is scheduling and actually having time to write up posts and having great ideas and original content. For me that is probably the hardest thing especially being a uni I get so caught up in my academic work, for big chunks of time my blog really suffers and is almost pushed to the back of my thoughts because I just don't have time to take pictures, edit them and write up posts for the whole week. But when I do find time to blog I love it, I love writing about things I'm passionate about, it's just finding the time to do it!

Another thing about blogging that I find difficult is making and keeping friends within the community.
I see on Twitter all the time these bloggers that are always hanging out or going to visit each other and for some reason it makes me feel left out! It's extremely irrational I know, but I just feel like I have no real friends within the community and even in the Disney blogger community, it almost seems like it's an exclusive club and I just don't fit in! I don't know if other bloggers feel like this but it's just something I've noticed.

But I don't want this to be a negative post as I have loved every second of blogging, I mean I wouldn't have 100 posts if I didn't yanno! So I just wanted to say to anyone who reads this or has read any of my other posts, thank you so much!

What are your thoughts on blogging?!

Lot of love
